Family Medicine Interests

In family medicine, I love that I am able to see the entire family, from birth and newborns through end of life care. I am especially interested in women’s health and OB, and I also enjoy pediatrics.

Why did you choose AFP?

I chose AFP, because of the focus on full spectrum family medicine training. We have family medicine and OB/Gyn faculty who are involved in training us in obstetrics, and we have ample time and opportunity to do as much obstetrics as we desire. As an unopposed residency program, I don’t feel like I need to compete to see patients. The faculty are great to work with, and they all love to teach! AFP is a perfect fit for me, and I am confident that I’m going to have the training I need to practice full spectrum family medicine.

Hobbies

n my free time (yes, we have free time), I enjoy crocheting, baking, gardening, and reading. I’ve also enjoyed going to all the local tourist spots, especially visiting the covered bridges in Bedford county and watching the trains at horseshoe curve.
