Family Medicine Interests

Obstetrics, Women’s Health, and Addiction Medicine

Why did you choose AFP?

I chose AFP because it is a truly unopposed family medicine program with great obstetrics experience. It is particularly rare to find an unopposed program at a Trauma Level 2 hospital which is also a major stroke center. We keep so many interesting cases in our hospital and clinic without being forced to refer them out or compete with other residents for experience. As residents we first-assist most cesarean sections and work directly with both our incredible family medicine faculty and sub-specialists, all of whom are experts in our field.

Hobbies

I enjoy dancing, most any type, and listening to music. I love to hike and take in all of the nature that central Pennsylvania has to offer. Recently I’ve developed an interest in photography and am especially inspired by the “steel town” aesthetic of Altoona and its surrounding communities.
