Why did you choose AFP?

I wanted to train in a location that offered me the opportunity to see broad spectrum family medicine. It was important to do all my training in one location without worry of competing with other residents. I was surprised that although this is a rural location the patient population is very diverse which adds variety and depth to the training experience. Lastly, choosing a residency is like adopting a new family; I needed to feel at home. The friendly, collegial, and supportive atmosphere here at AFP is something that I am proud of. The environment allows learners to excel and thrive. If I was entering the match again, this residency would overwhelmingly again be my first choice.

Riding motorcycles (sports and cruisers), doing puzzles, playing board games (scrabble is my favorite), listening and attempting to write poetry, listening, and telling jokes.
